ED LEVIN PARK - HORSE CAMPS
Milpitas camps will be held at the Ed Levin Park arena at 3100 Calaveras Rd, Milpitas.
Join our fun-filled week-long camps at our Milpitas location. Camps are for children ages 6 and up! Campers will get a one hour lesson each day. During the rest of the day they will learn about things such as horse grooming & care, history of the horse, horse anatomy, parts of the horse, how to saddle, and much more! Campers will also be entertained with games and crafts.
For the riding portion of the day, campers will be grouped together based on experience and skill level.
Level 1: Basic seat, walk, and horse handling.
Level 2: Walking & posting the trot while staying centered and balanced.
Level 3: Sitting trot, direct rein, leg yields, head set, and collection.
Campers must bring their own lunch, sunscreen, and lots of water! Helmets are provided and cleaned after each use, but you are welcome to bring your own equestrian-rated helmet. No bicycle helmets permitted. Campers must wear closed toe shoes, long pants for riding, and layers are recommended.
Camp Price & Hours:
9 am to 3 pm
$475.00 per week
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we can no longer offer single-day camps. All campers must attend the full week (Monday through Friday). We are also unable to offer After Care, so campers must be picked up promptly during their pickup time. Campers may not miss a day, and must stay the whole day (no late arrivals or early pick-ups), otherwise they will not be able to return to camp for 3 to 4 weeks (depending on the county restrictions for that location).
